Hybrid Germanium / Silicon Fuzz

Smoothy combines the warmth of germanium clipping with the stability and output strength of a silicon stage.

The front-end germanium transistor provides smooth harmonic saturation, while the silicon section ensures power, sustain, and consistency. Reverse diode action adds a sharper initial attack followed by a controlled decay.

Unlike many fuzz designs, Smoothy maintains note clarity even at higher gain settings. It cleans up effectively from the guitar’s volume control and remains articulate in complex chord work.

It is loud, stable, and flexible.
